Man and woman found dead inside car at Dorset park
Bodies were discovered in Swanage, police say
A man and a woman have been found dead inside a car at a Dorset park on the English coast.
Their bodies were discovered at Durlston Country Park in Swanage on Monday morning, according to police.
The deaths are not being treated as suspicious, Dorset Police said.
Police were called just after 8.15am by the fire service to reports of two unresponsive people in a car at the country park and nature reserve.
Officers and the ambulance service who went to the scene found two bodies in the vehicle parked on Lighthouse Road in Swanage, a town on England’s south coast.
The woman was aged in her 40s and the man in his 50s.
No more information will be released until their next of kin have been informed, Dorset Police said.
The road leading to Durlston Country Park has been shut, a police spokesperson said.
A cordon is also in place.
Purbeck Police posted an image of a road closure at Durlston on Facebook on Monday morning, saying officers were dealing with an incident.
They told people to avoid the area.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said an investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of the deaths.
