All future complaints of racial discrimination against the
Metropolitan Police are to be investigated by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC). The move was announced after it emerged the watchdog was now reviewing five allegations of wrongdoing against Scotland Yard officers after a further two incidents were referred to the IPCC. These new incidents are claimed to have happened in December 2011. Eighteen officers are currently being investigated.
