Onslow to quit

SIR Cranley Onslow, 68, is to stand down as Conservative MP for Woking at the next general election after 30 years. He was chairman of the 1922 Committee from 1984-92 and in 1990 led the delegation of 'men in grey suits' to tell Mrs Thatcher that her position was untenable.
