Praise for rape victim
The Lord Chief Justice, Lord Judge, has praised the "superhuman courage" of a woman who was raped and repeatedly stabbed by a burglar at her home in Bristol.
The woman, who cannot be named, almost died but was in the Court of Appeal to see Ross Parsons' minimum term as part of a life sentence raised from 12 to 15 years. "We do admire the courage that was involved in coming to court," Lord Judge said.
