The Duke of Edinburgh left hospital today following three days' treatment and monitoring for a chest infection.
Philip, 86, was discharged from King Edward VII Hospital in central London at 1.30pm, smiling and waving to reporters before departing in a black Land Rover.
He will return to Windsor Castle to continue his recuperation, Buckingham Palace said. The Duke's engagements for tomorrow have been cancelled with future diary dates to be decided upon a day-to-day basis.
