As the world welcomes the newest member of the Royal family, the Princess of Cambridge, the souvenirs to mark her birth have already been released – at a special, commemorative price.

Some of the more expensive items now available are from Royal Crown Derby, which offers a range of limited edition china plates and mugs ranging from £65 to £135, rocking horse figurines and a limited edition china teddy bear that will have the baby’s name and date of birth written on it in 22ct gold, available for £135.

The Royal Mint has released a commemorative £5 coin, which has been approved by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Queen and the Chancellor of the Exchequer. It features the words: “To celebrate the birth of the second child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge”.

The coin itself costs £13 to buy, while a limited edition of the £5 coin struck in sterling silver costs £80, and the celebration sovereign struck coin, called the “flagship coin” of a limited edition run of 750 costs £500.

Finally, for the true fan, the Royal Mint has created the £5 gold proof commemorative coin, of which there are only 400 available, each costing £1,800.
