The Health and Safety Executive said it was investigating the derailment of the last coach of a high speed passenger train at Sandy, Bedfordshire at 6pm last night, about 20 miles from todayÿs incident.

The 1730 Kings Cross to Edinburgh train, also operated by GNER, remained upright but there were minor injuries to nine passengers.
