Man stabbed outside National Theatre on London's South Bank
Victim taken to hospital following incident
A young man has been stabbed during an altercation in broad daylight outside the National Theatre on London’s South Bank.
Police were called to the terrace outside the theatre in Lambeth at around 4pm on Sunday afternoon, Scotland Yard said.
Met officers, London Air Ambulance and London Ambulance Service attended the scene and found a man in his twenties suffering from a stab injury.
“He has been taken to a central London hospital,” a spokesman for the force added.
The victim's injuries are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident and enquiries continue. A crime scene remains in place.
The attack took place metres away from the Royal Festival Hall, hours before the venue was set to host the BAFTA television awards.
