Two musicians found dead in same Canterbury house days after third person died there in unexplained circumstances

Police found Max Martin and Joshua Lambert-Price's bodies at the property five days after another unidentified person died there - but officers are not treating the unexplained deaths as suspicious.

Mystery surrounds the deaths of two popular musicians whose bodies were discovered lying together in a Canterbury house days after a third unidentified person died there in unexplained circumstances.

Police found Max Martin and Joshua Lambert-Price dead at the property in Tudor Road after receiving a call at 8.14pm on Tuesday.

A third unidentified body was found at the same house five days earlier - but Kent Police are not treating any of the deaths as suspicious.

Officers are preparing reports for the coroner but cannot confirm if the deaths are connected.

Tributes poured in for Mr Martin, who was in his 30s, and Mr Lambert-Price on social media following the news.

Jazz and soul singer Dulcie May Moreno tweeted: "Deeply saddened to hear the crazy sweetheart Maximum Martin has left this world."

Arthur Bates said Mr Martin was a "special" musician and said: "I am truly gutted I'll never get to see him play again."

Musician Andy Twyman added: "I'm saddened to hear this morning of the death of Maximum Martin. He was a unique soul with a huge enthusiasm for music.

"It was always a pleasure to chat with him about the blues, and he was hugely encouraging to me. His charisma, kindheartedness and generosity shone out whenever I met him. RIP."

A police spokesman told the Independent: "Kent Police was called at 8.14pm on Tuesday 29 August 2017 to a report that two men had died at a property in Tudor Road, Canterbury.

"Prior to this another man was found deceased at the same property on Thursday 24 August 2017.

"The cause of each death is not currently being treated as suspicious and officers have prepared respective reports for the coroner.

"Officers are carrying out initial enquiries into the circumstances."
