Lorry driver freed

David Gibson, 42, a lorry driver, of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, who killed a policeman when he hit his patrol car parked on the hard shoulder of the M25, was given a 12-month suspended prison sentence for causing death by dangerous driving. Snaresbrook Crown Court was told Gibson had had six hours' sleep in two days.
