'Merry' siege

A man gave himself up to armed police after taking refuge in a pub in the Lee Bank area of Birmingham as officers pursued a gang that had robbed a post office. Witnesses said the man appeared to be 'very merry' when he surrendered. Two other men were arrested earlier.
