'New Statesman' to fight libel action
The New Statesman and Society magazine yesterday said the board had taken a decision to fight the libel action brought by the Prime Minister and Clare Latimer following an article detailing rumours about John Major's private life. The magazine is to launch a fund to pay for legal costs.
