NHS lists lengthen
Almost 150,000 people were waiting for treatment in London hospitals in May, an increase of about 20,000 over the year, according to a survey by the pressure group London Health Emergency. A spokesman said: 'These figures give lie to the myth that London's NHS somehow has too many hospital beds.'
