Peer's death ends family ties with Guinness board
Mr Sebastian Guinness
On 20th June 1992 we published an article on the Guinness family following the death of Lord Iveagh which unfortunately repeated the canard that the tragic death of Olivia Channon in 1986 was caused by drugs supplied by her cousin Sebastian.
This allegation, which was widely but quite wrongly reported at the time, is totally untrue. Sebastian Guinness never supplied drugs to Olivia Channon and he is not in any manner whatsoever responsible for her death. We apologise to Mr Guinness for the distress and embarrassment caused to him by our inadvertent repetition of this unfounded allegation.
