Police are hunting the killer of a Manchester man, Eldton Henry, 76, who was found with a bag over his head and his wrists and ankles tied, at his home in Whalley Range on Wednesday night. The house had been ransacked.

Neighbours said they believed Mr Henry had dealt in cannabis to supplement his pension. A police spokesman said he died of asphyxiation and had received several blows to the head.
