Thousands of young people besieged the main police station in Luton, Bedfordshire, in the early hours yesterday after organisers of a rave party in the town were arrested.

A firebomb was thrown and three officers slightly injured as hundreds of police were called in as reinforcements. Sixty people were arrested, though all were released after cautions or bailed on public order offences, with 10 due to face drugs charges.
