Police pay woman

A woman who was suing police for their alleged negligence in failing to find the body of her murdered daughter accepted a pounds 10,000 out-of-court settlement. Ann Ming, of Stockton-on-Tees, Cleveland, eventually discovered Julie Hogg's body behind a bath panel at her home in Billingham.
