Leveson: Lord Mandelson proves all publicity is good publicity
The recent appearances of Labour figures at the Leveson Inquiry hasn't just been a reunion for the Class of '97, it has also provided an opportunity for them to plug their books.
Ever Lord Mandelson arrived at the inquiry on Monday clutching a copy of his book, The Third Man. And, yesterday, campaigning MP Tom Watson carried his Dial M for Murdoch as he strolled to the High Court.
It left some of their former colleagues wishing they had thought of it. Ex-spin doctor Alastair Campbell took to Twitter to say he had received a "bollocking from [his] diaries' publicist", adding, "I took my books to Leveson in briefcase." It shows how far things have come, if Campbell's the one getting "bollocked" these days.
