Overseas visits bill pounds 280,000

About pounds 280,000 was spent on overseas visits by Commons select committees in 1992-93, according to the Commons sessional returns published yesterday. Foreign Affairs spent pounds 70,258, Defence pounds 51,865 and National Heritage pounds 36,155.
