PORNOGRAPHY: Michael Jack, Minister of State at the Home Office, said that the Government had no immediate plans to increase penalties for the possession of pornographic material. Providing that the obscene video, photograph or book did not feature a child under 16, the simple possession of such a tape was not in itself a criminal offence, he said, 'and the Government has no plans to make it so'.
