Prisoners sing
Customs officers at Dover who heard bird noises searched a van that had just arrived from France and found 700 African parakeets and finches, worth at least pounds 10,000, inside. Two men from Essex were being questioned. An officer said: 'At first we thought it was the seagulls in the harbour.'
