Protesters jailed for M3 invasion

Seven anti-motorway campaigners were jailed for 28 days by a High Court judge for invading the M3 construction site at Twyford Down, Hampshire, in defiance of a court injunction.

However, Mr Justice Alliott told the four men and three women that they could apply from Monday to purge their contempt by promising to obey the injunction.
