'Samaritan' attacked

A GOOD Samaritan who stopped to tow a broken-down Austin Metro driver stranded in a lane near Haswell, Co Durham, was assaulted and had his vehicle stolen. The 22-year-old farm worker towed the car for two miles before his attacker asked him to stop, punched him and took his Nissan truck.
