The satellite pornography channel Red Hot Dutch is taking legal advice over a possible ban in Britain. The Department of National Heritage said it was studying Section 1 of the 1990 Broadcasting Act to see if it could stop the company transmitting programmes to Britain from Denmark.

Mark Garner, the Manchester-based executive consultant of the parent company Continental Television, said: 'We are willing to go to court on this if necessary. They are not going to get rid of us easily.'
