Police in Scotland have charged a fifteen-year-old girl after a video emerged yesterday showing a thirteen-year-old girl being assaulted in front of a group of children.

The footage was uploaded onto Facebook and was viewed more than four million times.

The full four-minute video shows a teenage girl dressed in a grey hoodie torment her victim by repeatedly punching, kicking and dragging her by the hair.

The perpetrator is seen beaming while humiliating the thirteen-year-old girl; she comments that her victim is “pure shaking like a leaf”.

The assault took place in front of a group of children and young teenagers in the Cowdenbeath area, with some attempting to stop the assault after the initial exchange.

Fife Police acknowledged the video on their Facebook account on Monday evening at 7pm; before announcing they had charged a fifteen year old in connection with the assault at 10:15pm.
