Police are hunting a man who abducted his two young children from his estranged wife at gunpoint. They warned that the man, James Moore, 34, should not be approached. Moore took his son, David, four, and Claire, two, from his wife's home in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.

Moore, of Cleethorpes, Humberside, is believed to be using a stolen blue Vauxhall car with a woman friend named as Trina Powell, police said.
