Secrets trial delayed

The trial, due to start next week, of a man charged under the Official Secrets Act has been delayed for three months because court officials failed to give sufficient notice that the press and public might be excluded. Michael Smith, 43, a former GEC electronics engineer, is accused of obtaining or communicating information that might have been useful to an enemy.
