Shell puts up the price of its petrol

Shell increased the wholesale price of petrol, which could result in motorists having to pay as much as 9p a gallon more at petrol stations. The company blamed tough trading conditions for the 7.7p a gallon rise. The wholesale cost of diesel rose by 5.4p a gallon.
