A woman shot dead by a man in a pub garden on Saturday had twice asked police to tell him to leave her alone, Humberside detectives said yesterday. Penelope Bell, 39, a mother of two, was with friends outside the Sloop Inn, Beverley, when Raymond Fisher, also of Beverley, shot her in the head and chest. He then shot himself dead. Det Ch Insp George Scott said police last spoke to Fisher a week ago.
