Skipper dies as dredger sinks

More than 60 British passengers escaped unhurt when their ferry was in collision with a French dredger whose skipper was killed. The 6,812-ton Duchesse Anne collided with the 510-ton Le Timac, near St Malo, sinking it. Six of the dredger's crew were rescued.
