The scope of work involved by accountants acting in support of sponsors of Stock Exchange transactions and flotations has been clarified by the Institute of Chartered Accountants. The guidelines set out suggested procedures for accountants working under the new exchange rules and include specimen "comfort letters" to send to sponsors.
