Lotte Kramer was born in Mainz, Germany, and came to England as a child refugee in 1939. Her work has appeared in a wide range of magazines, periodicals and anthologies as well as being broadcast on BBC radio and television. Her most recent collections are A Lifelong House (Rockingham Press, 1983) and Shoemaker's Wife (Hippopotamus Press, 1987).
