Litter louts beware, you may get ‘Paxmaned’
Jeremy Paxman’s glowering scorn is not just reserved for politicians. The presenter has a hatred of litter and will not hesitate to confront those he sees dropping rubbish, according to Monday night’s Panorama.
Mr Paxman said: “It’s a beautiful country and I just don’t understand why people want to make it full of s***.”
He added: “I have found when you confront people and say ‘excuse me, you just dropped this’, nine times out of 10, they will say ‘oh, sorry,’ and they will take it away”
He also thinks those who litter are damaging the brand value of companies. He said: “Every time somebody walks down the street and sees a McDonald’s wrapper ... they think of that company. That’s not the way you want to be thought of.”
