Three questioned over firearms

Three men were arrested in the Manchester area yesterday by police investigating the supply of arms to loyalist terrorist groups in Northern Ireland.

The men were being questioned about offences under firearms legislation, while scientific tests were conducted on several weapons seized during the arrests.
