Woman driver attacked on A3

A married woman examining the engine of her car in a lay-by on the A3 near Wisley in Surrey suffered a suspected broken leg and wrist yesterday while fighting off a man who attacked her after initially offering to help. The woman, 32, managed to drive away. Police said that the man, who was wearing a balaclava, was aged between 30 and 40, 5ft 11in and well-built.
