Bharti Patel, 40, was shot in the face when two men tried to hold up the post office where she worked at Battersea in south London. The bullet hit her in the mouth and went through her cheek. She received treatment at St George's Hospital. Thirty minutes later the two men are believed to have held up a sub-post office in Wimbledon, south-west London.
