2am: Strikes reported against television headquarters in Novi Sad and a transmitter on a nearby hill. The television building was destroyed in an earlier Nato attack.

1pm: Nato planes pound targets close to the main border crossing between Kosovo and Albania.

2.30pm: French President Jacques Chirac says he sees progress on Kosovo after talks in Moscow with Boris Yeltsin.

3pm: Eight KLA guerrillas evacuated by a Red Cross helicopter to Tirana after being wounded in fighting with Serbs.

5pm: Bill Clinton compares Slobodan Milosevic's ethnic cleansing in Kosovo with the Holocaust.

5.30pm Yugoslav forces herd ethnic Albanians on to a bridge in Kosovo to try to set the scene for a Nato attack on civilians, KLA news agency says.
