A 27-YEAR-OLD woman was flown to hospital last night after being plucked from the sea, Thames coastguard said. People at a golf club saw her struggling against strong winds and tide 400 metres off Felixstowe, Suffolk.

A man on a mobile phone guided a lifeboat to her. The woman, from Felixstowe, was picked up within 20 minutes and taken to Ipswich Hospital by an RAF helicopter. She was "shocked and distressed, but otherwise all right".
