Calls by Amnesty International to arrest George W Bush on torture charges have been dismissed by the Zambian government.

The former US President has been touring Africa with his wife and daughter to raise awareness of cervical and breast cancer. They ended their visit to Zambia on Saturday.

The Foreign Affairs Minister, Chishimba Kambwili, said Zambia would have considered the request only if it had come from the International Criminal Court acting on behalf of the United Nations. AP
