Donald Trump says Hillary Clinton has nothing going for her except 'the woman's card'
'And frankly, if Hillary Clinton were a man, I don’t think she’d get five per cent of the vote'
Hillary Clinton has nothing else going for her other than the "woman's card", Donald Trump has said.
Speaking at Trump Tower after securing a series of crucial victories on Tuesday, the Republican frontrunner attacked Ms Clinton
“I think the only card she has is the woman’s card," Mr Trump said. "She’s got nothing else going.
"And frankly, if Hillary Clinton were a man, I don’t think she’d get five per cent of the vote.
"The only thing she’s got going is the woman’s card, and the beautiful thing is women don’t like her."
Mr Trump declared himself the Republican's "presumptive nominee" after winning all five of the party's Northeastern primaries.
He now has 77 per cent of the delegates he needs.
Speaking to supporters in Philadelphia after winning four out of five Northeastern primary contests, Ms Clinton said: "The other day, Mr Trump accused me, of playing the 'woman card'.
"Well, if fighting for women's health care and paid family leave and equal pay is playing the woman card, then deal me in."
After securing Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania, the Democrat frontrunner now has 90 per cent of the delegates she needs to be nominated.
