Harrowing video shows three masked women rob cab driver at knifepoint

A terrifying video showing the moment three female criminals robbed a cab driver at knifepoint has been released by police in Canada.

The incident happened in Hamilton in the early hours of 1 February and video shows the three masked women enter the vehicle before holding a knife to the throat of the driver as they demand money.

However, their attempts to start the car prove futile and they quickly leave the vehicle and flee the scene.

The driver was not injured during the harrowing incident.

Police were called but were unable to track down the three women.

Hamilton Police have now released the footage in the hope that it may encourage people with any information to come forward.
