The leader of the Catholic Church is officially a man of the people after his pit stop at a Burger King on Thursday. Watch Pope Francis meet the ‘King’ below.

Pope Francis is currently on a tour of Latin America and during his time in Bolivia, he needed a place to change his vestments in order to celebrate Mass at the Christ the Redeemer square in Santa Cruz.

A Burger King restaurant had never witnessed such pandemonium until the Pope spent more than thirty minutes waving to thousands of people outside on the street.

But, for those who just wanted a burger fix, they had to go elsewhere as the restaurant was closed due to the papal visit. There was even time with a small make over with white sheets hung over the windows.
