Hillary Clinton says Donald Trump is using 'alt-right' conspiracy theorist's talking points

Radio DJ Alex Jones claims the government puts to chemicals into the water supply to turn people gay so they cannot have children

Hillary Clinton has tweeted a video claiming Republican nominee Donald Trump is using controversial talking points first propagated by a right-twing radio DJ and leading conspiracy theorist.

Alex Jones, 42, is a leading voice of the "alt-right" movement in the United States causing controversy by claiming the Sandy Hook shooting was faked and the 11 September attacks were orchestrated by the US government.

Secretary Clinton's upload is a collection of clips from the DJ's inforwars.com online show highlighting some of Mr Jones more outrageous statements.

In the video, Mr Trump can be seen on Mr Jones' online show stating: "I will not let you down. You will be very, very impressed, I hope."

Accompanying the video is the tweet: "Where does Trump get his talking points from? Often this alt-right conspiracy theorist, Alex Jones. (Watch all the way to the end.)."

At the end of the video is Alex Jones stating on his show: "And I'll tell you it is surreal to talk about issues here on air and then word for word hear Trump say it two days later."

Alex Jones has claimed the government puts to chemicals into the water supply to turn people gay so they cannot have children.

One of Mr Jones' statements which Trump has subsequently repeated was the claim that Ms Clinton is using drugs to keep up her stamina in the next debate.

Mr Trump has called for the two candidates to undergo a drugs test before Wednesday's debate in Las Vegas - claiming she was "pumped up" at the start of their previous bout.

Hillary Clinton has previously brought up Donald Trump's alt-right links when he shared the Pepe the Frog meme - which has been linked to extreme right wingers and a white supremacist movement.
