A new member of the seven dwarfs has been invented by a game show contestant in the US, who filled in the blanks in this puzzle to name “Sneeky”.

Tara thought she had solved the clues on Wheel of Fortune but fell at the last hurdle after naming the six other Disney characters.

The audience and her fellow competitors let out a collective groan at the mistake, which was quickly righted by the man standing next to her.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, made in 1937, could have had a drastically different plot if one of the heroine’s loyal friends was indeed “sneaky”.

The fairytale creatures are actually called Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Dopey and Sneezy.

Tara told the Wheel of Fortune host that she lives in Ohio with her husband and their five-year-old daughter, although she did not say who was in charge of spelling lessons.
