It's thanks to Nitu Pariyar and her mothers group's determination that a much-needed 24-hour maternal health facility has been built in Rudrapur, Nepal: 'If we'd left it to the men, it would have taken a lot longer.'
'It was our own will that made this happen,' she says. 'Women have driven this forward 100 percent.'
