Bhutto matriarch, 82, dies in Dubai
Begum Nusrat Bhutto, whose husband and daughter both served as Prime Minister of Pakistan, has died in Dubai after a long illness, it emerged yesterday. She was 82.
Her life tracked many of Pakistan's ups and downs. Her husband, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, founded the Pakistan People's Party that controls the government today. He served as Prime Minister and President in the 1970s. He was later hanged. Her daughter Benazir was killed in a suicide bomb in 2007. AP
