A stampede in a packed temple in northern Indian has killed at least 10 people, police said today.
The Tildiha village temple in Bihar state had been packed with some 20,000 people offering prayers to the goddess Durga today, the last day of the Hindu festival Navratri.
A Banka district police spokesman said four women and six men were killed in the stampede. Another three people are being treated for injuries.
