Brussels (Reuter) - Three Belgian paratroops were killed and two injured in Somalia yesterday when a land mine exploded beneath their vehicle, the Belgian armed forces said.
'Their jeep drove on to a mine; three of them were killed and two others were seriously injured,' an army spokesman said .
The soldiers were patrolling at Hoosingo, 100 miles west
of the port of Kismayu, where the Belgians are operating as part of the Restore Hope aid operation.
No other details were immediately available.
