Belgium may use force in Zaire
BRUSSELS (AFP) - Belgium is considering military intervention in Zaire, the Foreign Minister, Willy Claes, said yesterday. Mr Claes told MPs that the government was considering all options to try to resolve the chronic political crisis in the former Belgian colony, 'including that of military intervention'.
The statement came amid new signs of crisis in Zaire, where President Mobutu Sese Seko has warned Etienne Tshisekedi, the Prime Minister, to form a new government within 48 hours.
