British monk in Rwanda believed dead

A BRITISH monk missing in Rwanda since June is thought to have been killed by government troops soon after entering the country, his Roman Catholic order said today. The order, the Marist Brothers, criticised the Foreign Office for a 'half- hearted' reaction to its plea for help, and called for an independent inquiry team to be sent to the area where they believe Chris Mannion met his death. He is thought to have died on 1 July.
